Milne’s High School – Parent Council News
The Parent Council AGM was held on Monday 11 September 2017.
The committee is as follows:
Please remember all parents of children attending Milne’s High School are part of the Parent Forum and can attend any of the Parent Council Meetings. New members are always welcome and can join the Parent Council at any time not only at the AGM.
In addition to the above members Mr Iain Cunningham is our current Teacher Representative. A Senior Pupil also attends to update the PC on pupil events. Furthermore all three of our local Councillors Shona Morrison, Mark MacRae and Dave Bremner are invited to attend our meeting.
The purpose of the Parent Council is to represent the parents/carers and children at the school in the following areas:
- supporting the school in its work with pupils
- representing the views of all parents
- promoting contact between the school, parents, pupils and the wider community
- reporting back to the parent council
The Parent Council will work in partnership with the Head Teacher and school staff to help the students and the school realise their potential. Our aim is to work together with the school and the community to make Milne’s High School the best.
We also be fundraise throughout the year to raise monies which are used to the benefit of the pupils.
