Milne’s High School – Parent Council News
The Parent Council AGM was held on Monday 24th August 2020.
The committee is as follows:
In addition to the above members Mr B Young is our current Teacher Representative. A Senior Pupil also attends to update the PC on pupil events. Furthermore all three of our local Councillors Shona Morrison, Mark MacRae and Dave Bremner are invited to attend our meetings.
The Parent Council works in partnership with the Head Teacher and school staff to help the pupils and the school realise their potential.
Our aim is to work together with the school, to support the school in delivering on its vision to provide a creative and ambitious learning environment where everyone is the best they can be.
The Parent Council represents the parents, carers and children at the school in the following areas:
- supporting the school in its work with pupils
- representing the views of all parents
- promoting contact between the school, parents, pupils and the wider community
We undertake a little bit of fund raising throughout the year to raise monies which are used to the benefit of the pupils.
